We are just some Native comedians trying to help out in the best way we can!
In the wake of the LA fires, we have called on our extended Native community to help raise funds for Angelenos in need right now.
In short…
On January 7th, the Palisades and Eaton fires began in Los Angeles. As people evacuated, homes, businesses, and our native plants and trees burned. The Palisades fire burned over 23.7 K acres and the Eaton fire burned over 14.1 K acres. An incredibly painful time for all Angelenos, people have lost their homes and livelihoods.
Angelenos have been coming together to take care of one another sharing their homes, donating their time, money and resources to help all who were affected by the fires. The tremendous outpouring of support has been incredibly moving as mutual aid groups, individuals, and businesses have stepped up to love our wonderful city.
Moved deeply by the love shown by the every day Angelenos, we decided to bring our own Native community together to help support Los Angeles in this time. One thing we know is invaluable to mutual aid efforts is money. Being comedians, artists, and actors who have benefited from being a part of the Los Angeles community, we see it as important that we participate in aiding the incredible city that has taken good care of us (Los Angeles). Our friends have donated their time and cool stuff for your to buy below! 100% of the net profits will be donated to The Chapter House. In this time of crisis The Chapter House will be helping Native families connected with them by UAII, BIPOC and Latine families in Altadena and domestic workers in LA, all affected directly by the fires.
